Hot Springs

My Wednesday night started just like any normal one, consisting of, getting home from school at 6:00, eating dinner and starting homework but it turned into yet another adventure....

My friend Bryce, Deji, Nicole and I went to the hot springs in Spanish Fork. I have never been to a hot spring before so I was quite excited to see it.

We were all under the impression that the hike up to the hot spring would take about 40 minutes
…not too bad.

This hike turned out to be about an hour and 45-minute hike! In the dark with two small flashlights, one of us in flip flops and Bryce reminding us he was hungry about every 15 minutes... it surely became interesting haha

With exploding excitement we finally got to the awesome and quite relaxing hot springs!

Ya know how when you go on a fun trip and you bring home something to remember the trip by? Well I guess you could say I somewhat brought home a souvenir. Souvenir also known ask... a lovely chunk out of my leg and a swollen knee!

Note to self: When stepping into slippery hot springs..don't get too excited and get in too fast because you will slip and fall in a quite embarrassing way and have a swollen knee to prove it!

Rock Canyon Adventure

I was convinced to take a bike ride with my two great friends Kayli and Garrett to Rock Canyon so they could finish a homework assignment for one of their classes.

Lets just say....I was not prepared for the adventure we were about to embark on.

We began our trip and Kayli and I were both quite content with the flat ground but it continued to get steeper and steeper. We conquered the first hill and thought that we could give our throbbing legs a break but then we turn the corner and see another one. Kayli and I made the decision that Garrett should just go ahead because there was no way we were going to ride bikes up this hill. Several times we would see Garrett turn around and just laugh at us struggling to get up this hill.

After going up several more hills we made it to Rock Canyon.

We made it. Saw the view and all made the decision that it was worth it!

After admiring the view we then realized we still had to get down. Well, we calculated that it took us about an hour to get up and it took us a total of 10 minutes to get down! Kayli and I would randomly say to one another.. "THIS IS SO AWESOME!" or "Seriously? How can you get any better than this?"

We are surely living the life. We are so blessed.

It was an adventure. Mission Accomplished! :)
