Spring Term

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

^^^ Classic first day of school picture.

I am writing this blog post while I sit and wait for my first class of the day, and first class to start of Spring Term to start. Yes it is 2:00 in the afternoon and this is my first class. Nothing like tomorrow, I have New Testement at 9:00 in the morning. We shall see how that one goes! I woke up at 5:00 in the morning for 4 years for seminary and now I struggle to get up at 8:00. Funny how that happens. I am excited to get back in the habit of waking up early though.

We just finished winter semester a couple days ago and it seems weird to be starting new classes all over again when I still have terms from my winter classes running around in my head.

Today I have ASL 102, which I am very excited for. I haven't had an ASL class since last summer and my signing is a little rusty but hey, that's what classes are for right?

After this class I have Zumba... Yes that's right, Zumba!! What better way to relieve stress than to dance around with all your friends, although I do not consider myself a dancer in anyway.. Should be interesting ha

Here's to the new semester :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is Dads birthday and I wanted to share some favorite moments of my Dad that I thought you might all enjoy! Mom and Dad are leaving for Paris today (yes I am beyond jealous) but I am so grateful that they are able to go and spend time together. Here's some moments of Dad..

^^^ Enjoying time at the beach with Dad. I don't know if everyone will notice but that boy running in the background is Austin.. typical Austin!

^^^ I was studying on the couch in front of the fire for my ACT test and dad comes to bring me cookies. I very specifically remember Dad coming and saying in a funny accent, "Excuse me miss but would you like a cookie?"

^^^ One of mine and Dad's favorite things to do is cheer on our beloved BYU Cougars!

^^^ Another thing Dad and I love doing together is working on cars together. This day we were taking the motor out of the Mustang, felt like open heart surgery.

^^^ Fathers Day, Dad opening up gifts. I got him this little statue to remind him of all the fun times we had dancing around the house. I would stand on his toes and he would dance me around the house. This is one the memories I love the most.

^^^ Notice Dads face.. this was the face that he made when he opened up his gift from Aaron and Caroline. The gift was a baby onsie and this was the moment he put two and two together that Aaron and Caroline were pregnant! Now we have beautiful Eleanor Ruby and I think Dad was the most excited to announce that he was going to be a Grandpa or as we sometimes like to call him, "Grandpappy!"

^^^Dad having fun with his new camera, taking family pictures!

^^^ I know that the boys and mom and I are all so grateful for Dad and everything that he does for us.   Dad, I hope you know that you are the hardest worker that I know. I am so blessed to have you as my Daddy! I do have so say.. I consider myself a Daddy's girl.

Love you tons and tons always.
Have fun in Paris with Momma!!

Another Semester..

Winter semester is just about over and that means I will have been at school non stop since the beginning of Senior Year and have been in college for almost a year. My freshman year is over once my finals are all done, crazy to think I have been out of high school for almost a year now! My freshman year had so many great memories. It has taken me forever to update my blog because well trying to work, study, have class and have some sort of social life is a difficult thing, but i have made the goal to update it more often!

Here is my life lately..

1. The Color Festival, This one was quite an adventure! Pretty much just people throwing chalk at other people the entire time and then one big "Chalk Throw" with thousands of people. I made the mistake of not taking a deep breath before this and was struggling during it because we were in the middle of a big chalk smoke. This happened weeks ago and I went not too long ago to the doctor and she looked in my ears and said, "OH! you must have gone to the Color Festival! There are all sorts of colors in your ears." That stuff sure got everywhere. Its one of those things that you just have to experience. I would say majority of the people there were BYU/UVU students. Great experience!

2. Got a job! I now work at the Awful Waffle. It is in the middle of an apartment complex close to campus. We make waffles, sweet/savory crepes and pizzas. I have been there for about a month now and have finally gotten the hang of things and don't feel as lost and am not asking as many questions as I used to be. It has taken a lot of practice and I still have lots left! If you're ever in the Provo area.. stop by :)

3. Austin is engaged!!! I am so beyond happy for these two! Austin proposed on a golf course and she was very surprised, I'd say it was a success. We are all so happy for Chandra to be joining the McKell family at the end of August. Her and I already act like we are sisters and I love having her around. I have been so blessed to have Christy and Caroline in my life as sister in laws and I am being sent another blessing and her name is Chandra :) I still think it is crazy that Adam married Christy, Aaron married Caroline and Austin is marrying Chandra. Does anyone else see the connection between the A names and C names? No pressure right? ha

4. Andy Grammer Concert: This concert at BYU hosted by BYUSA was my very first concert and it was so worth it! Andy Grammer sounds amazing live and it only costed 5 dollars.  If you haven't heard of him or haven't listened to his music, I highly suggest it.

5. Nicole, my roommate is getting married! My other roommates Rachel, Mashae and I went to her bridal shower and a lot of fun celebrating with her. We also realized that Easter sunday was our last Sunday all together. Rachel and Mashae are moving home, I am moving across the hall to another apartment and Nicole is getting married. These past two semesters went by so fast and I have been blessed to have these girls as my roommates, we have shared great adventures :) Im going to miss my beauties of Apartment 144!

Remember when there was snow everywhere?

Much to my excitement, that has changed  :) Im quite fond of this place!
